Ellen Romero

Ellen Romero is a former Quality Assurance Team Leader in a big corporation back in the Philippines for almost 20 years. As she migrated to New Zealand 8 years ago, she pursued the Diversional and Recreational Therapy practice, completing her

qualification in Kauri Academy and accomplishing her registration to the NZSDRT last 2020.

 

Ellen is currently working as a Registered Diversional and   Recreational therapist in Fairview Care. She was awarded as Diversional Therapist of the year in her alma mater for her therapeutic recreational activity she is leading in Fairview Care with her residents and whanau and was featured in Seven sharp News 2x doing Cardio Drumming and Chair Yoga for elderly and was also nominated as finalist in New Zealand Aged Care Association. She also received the National Excellence Judy Cooper Award 2023 in demonstrating exemplary Diversional and

Recreational Therapy practice that resonates excellence and continuous improvement, enriching the well being of individuals, the organization, and the broader community.
